Why to Buy Me Turning Point
Dear Principal,
I have recently discovered a new type of technology that I feel will greatly benefit the classes of this school and I am requesting that this technology by bought by the school for future use. Turning Point Technologies allows the students of a classroom to answer questions posted on a screen electronically through a personal response system. The results of how many students voted for each questiong is then displayed on the screen next to the question. From there, the teacher will be able to see what everyone, or the majority, thought the answer was to the question. By having all the students in the classroom being able to see the results, they can then strike up conversation on why one answer might be better than another or why another answer may not be correct. This technology promotes interactive learning. With this, students will be able to teach other students and they will learn the material better if they have to explain and defend their answers. Therefore, I believe that this technology would greatly improve the quality of learning in a classroom and become an excellent tool to create classroom debates and scientific argumentation.
